Mission & Vision

BACKGROUND:
Bangladesh Health Professions Institute (BHPI) was established in 1992 with the aim of developing highly skilled multidisciplinary health care professionals. BHPI is the academic institute of Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed (CRP). BHPI runs different courses at M.Sc, B.Sc, Diploma and certificate levels. Students of BHPI have a good external exposure while on clinical placements in Dhaka Medical College and Hospital, National Institute of Diseases of Chest and Hospitals (NIDCH), National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedic Rehabilitation (NITOR). CRP is the renowned placement venue for other national and international Physiotherapy teaching institute.
VISION:

To develop professionally competent therapists to deliver and improve health care for the disabled and handicapped patients.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF BHPI:

  • To provide high quality teaching programmes in areas pertaining to health care delivery and rehabilitation.
  • To provide highly skilled personnel who will work in health care provision and rehabilitation countrywide.
  • To provide education programmes for children with disability.
  • To act a model for other institutions to follow in the education of health care professionals.
